Merry day after Christmas

 We had a white Christmas of about 8 inches of snow, I have to say it is beautiful! Well Shawn got several things on his Christmas list, but from Santa he got the biggest present of all, Two Guinea pigs, Marshmallow because she has a brown patch on her butt and Ashlen because she is Gray and White. They are very sweet and like to cuddle. I had a good Christmas also, I got some PJ's , Bath and body works lotion, and new Jeans with a beautiful pink Sweater.  Robert and I cooked a Turkey for Christmas Dinner along with mashed sweet potatoes and corn on the cob, VERY good!

Now I'm Ready!

Went to Knoxville this weekend to ride bikes on the Boulevard and visit with Kenny. After 2 laps around the blvd. Shawn was freezing and decided to go back to the truck. Robert and Kenny rode together and I rode mostly by myself, I did freeze but enjoyed my ride, I ended up with an hour and 20 min. I like riding on the road a lot better than the trainer.  Well all the presents are wrapped and under the tree, even Robert's. I would like to get Shawn one more thing but I don't know if I will be able to or not......I will try this week. I have no clue what Santa is going to bring my boy.....

Almost Ready????

I finally got all the baking done for Cane Creek, Oh my what a weekend. I started baking Saturday morning and didn't quit until Sunday night, ended up with enough goodies for Cane Creek, Liberty, Bill and Donna next door and their daughter and family down the street and two ladies at ups that take care of Robert, I think I did a little to much but oh well at least I could do for people that we care about. Shawn had a snow day from school on Monday so he went to a friend's house and I set out on a mission to get the Christmas shopping complete which is what I did, so I'm all finished with the shopping except for Robert of course, Now all I have to do is wrap the gifts and put them under the tree...........

Not Ready!!

Christmas tree has been up since Vertan's day (Nov. 7th). I only have 4 presants and they aren't even wrapped and under the tree, maybe I can change that this weekend and next week. I am disappointed because I'm usually done by now, at least I have my list and allI have to do is walk in the store and go straight to what I want, no shopping around and no guessing. I did get my Christmas cards mailed out today which is a plus. This weekend is devoted to bakeing for the guys at Cane Creek and I do mean alot of baking, but it's all good, I hope they enjoy everything. 

Sick

I am so over being sick!!! I have been sick now for over a week with a stuffy head a terrible cough and just down right feeling like crap! I haven't been able to ride my bike because when I get hot I start coughing to the point I get gagged. I know my co workers hate me because all I do is cough, so I went to the doctor Friday, I don't have an infection or anything just the "crap" as my doctor called it. I was able to get some cough medicine with Hydrocodone, Oh my this stuff is wonderful. With the cough medicine I was finally able to sleep and not cough myself to death. Well, I am feeling better so I will ride my bike today for as long as I can. Oh and I was 208.6 on Friday when I weighed on the scale, I have probably already blown that with what I have eaten over the weekend so I need to control my eating what else is new.

My New Tool

I went to check this bike out last Sunday because my husband's friend bought it for his girlfriend and she doesn't use it anymore. I love this bike!! We were able to borrow the bike to take it to Charleston, SC to our friends Dave and Liza's over the Thanksgiving holiday and I ended up putting 30 or so miles on it in two days. We bought it on Monday. Thanksgiving was good we had a good time at Robert's Aunt ans Uncles house, his mom and dad and Grandmother were also in attendance. we left there around 3 Thanksgiving day then drove to Charleston. I love going to Charleston to see our friends, it's kinda like a mini vacation but with the comforts of home.

Several Things

Well I started at the gym yesterday evening, Robert and Shawn went with me on my first trip to show me around and how stuff worked. We were at the gym until about 6 then headed home. Got up this morning at 5am and headed back to do a better workout, I'm ready for bed now. Robert found out today that he has strep, his throat has been sore for a couple of days but we had no idea it was this, Doctor gave him meds he should start feeling better by tomorrow. Shawn went to a Boy Scout meeting a week ago Tuesday and they made kindling, well now Shawn has a hatchet of his own and even built mom a fire Sunday night which was the hottest and longest lasting fire I have ever had, he did wonderful with a little bit of help from dad way to go guys.  :)

Today was a good challange

Today was a challange but a wonderful day. I learned that I can jog, maybe not very far, yet, but I can do it. Shawn was alot of help to me jogging, he loves to encourage me which coming from a 10 year old is more valuable than anything. I knew if Shawn was with me I couldn't cheet or quite, he wouldn't let me and I didn't want to, I needed someone to help me get over the fear of just starting. Now that I have started Idon't want to quite, I wanted to start the program over and do it again but I knew I couldn't and shouldn't. Next run is Friday and believe it or not I can't wait, I feel like I am actually doing something and I can't wait to see the weight start falling off faster. I think Robert is impressed also, he doesn't say much but I know he is watching.

Good news

Just found out that Robert has officially been upgraded to a
Pro 2. All of his hard work has and is paying off. I am soooooo proud of him. To go through everything that he has been through and still keep his dream alive and to still strive to do his best, what an AWESOME reward! I am very proud!    :)

Halloween 2010

Robert and Shawn went camping with the Scouts on Friday night, they stayed at camp Tokoa until after Shawn got to do the zip line @2:30 they made it home about 4ish. I got up and cleaned house so my boys would have a clean house to come home to. We all went to a Halloween party @ Paul Christopher's house. We had a good time, saw several bicyclist that we knew. We ate to much and drank to much, but had a good time. Sunday Robert went for a 3-4 hour ride and Shawn went to play, Robert took a bike apart when he got home and we went trick or treating around 6, Shawn came home with more candy than should be allowed in one house. All in all a funfilled weekend.
